Iligan Sangguniang Panlungsod Approves Liquor Ban Adjustment for Diyandi Festival 2025

On September 24, 2025, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Iligan held a special session presided by Vice Mayor Ernest Oliver C. Uy to deliberate and approve Mayor Frederick W. Siao’s recommendation to adjust the liquor ban during the Diyandi Festival 2025.

Iligan Liquor Ban Schedule During Diyandi Festival

The approved measure temporarily adjusts the city’s liquor ban, now allowing:

  • Liquor sales from 1:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M.
  • Liquor consumption from 2:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M.

This adjustment will remain in effect until October 15, 2025.

City officials emphasized that the move is intended to maintain order and security during the festival while still allowing locals and visitors to celebrate and enjoy Iligan’s grand cultural event.
