Kaamulan Theme Song Contest 2025 Now Open for Talented Bukidnon Songwriters
Bukidnon officially opens the Kaamulan Theme Song Contest 2025, inviting local songwriters and composers to create original music that embodies the spirit of unity, culture, heritage, and community. This highly anticipated competition offers five winners a cash prize of ₱100,000 each, with one song to be selected as the official Kaamulan Theme Song.
Iligan and Bukidnon Songwriters Get a Chance to Shine
The Kaamulan Theme Song Contest is open to all residents of Bukidnon, whether individual artists or groups. Songwriters are encouraged to craft music that reflects the vibrant celebration of Kaamulan Festival.
Contest Guidelines:
- Songs must be original compositions, 3 to 4 minutes in length.
- Accepted languages: Binukid, Cebuano, Filipino, English, or a combination.
- Entries must highlight Kaamulan’s essence: unity, identity, culture, and celebration.
- No previously released or competition-submitted works are allowed.
Submission Requirements:
- High-quality recording (MP3 or WAV).
- Typed lyrics (with English translation if in local language).
- Composer’s profile with full details and valid ID.
- Certification of originality.
- Official entry form from the Provincial Government of Bukidnon.
Deadline for submission is December 15, 2025, via email at tourism@bukidnon.gov.ph or through the official registration link: Kaamulan Song Contest Google Form.
A panel will review entries, with the top 10 undergoing interviews before final judging.
Prizes and Judging Criteria
- Top 5 Winners: ₱100,000 each.
- From these, one entry will be named the official Kaamulan Theme Song.

- Relevance to Kaamulan Theme – 30%
- Originality and Creativity – 25%
- Musicality and Composition – 25%
- Lyrics and Message – 20%
Winners will be announced during the Kaamulan Program, strengthening Bukidnon’s cultural celebration.
