Iligan Grand Float Parade: Judging Criteria and Key Highlights
The Grand Float Parade is open to LGU departments, Iligan-based organizations, national government agencies, barangays, and local establishments. Participants will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria:
- Theme & Symbolism (20%) – Reflection of San Miguel, Iligan culture, and local heritage.
- Creativity & Originality (20%) – Innovation in concept, materials, and execution.
- Craftsmanship & Structural Quality (20%) – Build quality, stability, and detailing.
- Visual Impact & Aesthetics (15%) – Color harmony, vibrancy, and audience appeal.
- Adherence to Rules (15%) – Compliance with safety, mechanics, and size limits.
- Presentation & Animation (10%) – Costumes, animation, and music integration.
Floats must comply with strict safety and design rules, including proper fire safety equipment, structural integrity, and concealed mechanical elements. Throwing objects from floats is prohibited, while giveaways may only be handed out on the roadside.

- Size Limits: Height max 3.5m, length 5–20m, width 3–5m.
- Assembly: Staging at Ludo Building Poblacion, 6:00 AM on parade day.
