Iligan Highlights Digital Readiness and Growth Potential in the IT-BPM Industry
In a strong show of commitment to innovation and economic growth, Iligan City officials attended the IBPAP Regional General Membership Meeting to present the city’s achievements and future plans in the digital and IT-BPM sectors.
City Administrator Dr. Darwin J. Manubag highlighted Iligan’s strong economic fundamentals, pointing to its 8.8% GDP growth, globally recognized education system, and a secure, business-friendly environment. He also showcased Iligan’s AI Command Center, Digital Creative Hub, and IT Parks as proof of its readiness to attract major IT-BPM players and investors.
Despite regional challenges, the LGU called on industry leaders to consider Iligan as their next investment destination, noting the city’s resilience and its growing ecosystem of digital talent and infrastructure. Backed by Mayor Frederick Siao, Iligan continues to position itself as a key player in the digital economy and creative sector, preparing to host large-scale innovation events by 2026.
The LGU also extended its appreciation to IBPAP CEO Jack Madrid for recognizing Iligan’s contribution to the IT-BPM industry and its ongoing efforts to strengthen regional development.
