Iligan Among the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Local Economies in the Philippines
City of Iligan ranks 7th nationwide, fastest in Mindanao
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the City of Iligan recorded an impressive 8.76% GDP growth rate from 2023 to 2024 — ranking 7th among the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities in the country and No. 1 in Mindanao.
This achievement places Iligan well above the national average of 5.7%, marking it as one of the most dynamic local economies in the Philippines today.
“This is indeed an economic milestone for Iligan,” said the Siao Administration. “We will continue to pursue innovation, attract investments, and generate more opportunities for Iliganons through sustainable development and public-private partnerships.”
The City Government of Iligan, under Mayor Frederick Siao, continues to strengthen local business support, improve infrastructure, and promote digital transformation to build a resilient and investor-friendly economy.
The call now goes out to all Iliganons—here and abroad—to invest back home. Every business established, every idea launched, and every partnership formed contributes to faster growth, more jobs, and a stronger Iligan.
Padayon, Asenso Iliganon! 💪🌆
