Poster Making Contest in Iligan Promotes Mental Health Awareness Through Art
The Department of Health (DOH) Region X, in collaboration with the City Government of Iligan, City Health Office, Gender and Development Office, Motivation Philippines, and Robinsons Iligan, proudly presents the Mental Health Awareness Poster Making Contest as part of Mental Health Awareness Month 2025.
Set to take place on October 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Robinsons Iligan, Level 1 Atrium, the event aims to raise awareness, educate the public, and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues through creative expression.



Empowering Iligan Artists to Promote Mental Health
Open exclusively to Iliganons aged 25 and below, the contest encourages participants to use art as a tool for healing and advocacy, with themes centered on breaking stigma, promoting self-care, and offering support to individuals facing mental health challenges.
Participants will create original artworks using acrylic on canvas, highlighting personal and community perspectives on mental wellness. Each entry must include a short narrative explaining the inspiration behind the artwork, aligning with the event’s goal of promoting open dialogue and understanding.
Event Highlights and Prizes
Participants will compete for generous cash prizes and certificates of recognition:
- First Place: ₱6,500 + Certificate
- Second Place: ₱5,500 + Certificate
- Third Place: ₱4,500 + Certificate
- Three Consolation Prizes: ₱2,000 each + Certificates
Judging will be based on visual impact, creativity, composition, theme relevance, and craftsmanship, ensuring a fair and inspiring showcase of local talent.
