Iligan City Celebrates Diyandi Festival 2025 Week Two with Sports and Cultural Highlights
Iligan City continues the month-long celebration of the feast of Saint Michael the Archangel with Week Two of the Diyandi Festival 2025, happening from September 9 to 14, 2025. The week is set to showcase a dynamic mix of sports, music, dance, and cultural festivities under the theme “Panaghiusa sa Kultura, Pagpadayon sa Tradisyon” (Unity in Culture, Continuity of Tradition).
Event Highlights
- September 9–10: Benta Goals Tara Tena Season 12 kicks off at Robinson’s Place Iligan.
- September 11: The Engkwentro V2 Invitational Boxing Tournament at the City Public Plaza energizes the week.
- September 11–12: Tech meets tradition at the Iligan Diyandi E-Sport Tournament in Robinson’s Place Iligan.
- September 12–14: Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the Diyandi Open Badminton Tournament at Poblacion Central Market, the Mayor Frederick Siao Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament at Blue Gym, and the 1st Diyandi Festival Men’s Open Volleyball at Bagong Silang Elementary School.
- September 13: Active fun continues with the Fat Pauly’s Sunset Beer Mile Run at C3 Diversion Road, Iligan Mix Martial Arts and 4th Iligan Beatdown at La Salle Gym.
- September 13–14: The Diyandi Regional Darts Open, 3rd Swimming Competition at Maze Park, Kasadya Sa Diyandi: 7A Side Football Festival at Ludo Grounds, and the Diyandi Festival Open Chess Tournament at Robinson’s Iligan bring more excitement.
- September 14: The week culminates with major highlights including the 1Bots Kasadya Half Marathon at Robinson’s Iligan, the 4th Hugyaw Sa Sayaw Open Women’s Dance Competition and Dancesports Competition at the City Public Plaza, plus A Day in the Dirt IV Vintage Enduro Race at Robinson’s Iligan Parking Area.
