Iligan City Recognizes Official Co-Working Coffee Shops to Support Freelancers and Digital Nomads

Iligan City, known for its vibrant community and thriving café culture, has officially identified and recognized a set of coffee shops as certified co-working spaces. This initiative, led by the Iligan City Tourism Office in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Center Office (ICTC) under Sir Nouvell Krish Aehmery Lagapa, is designed to provide freelancers, entrepreneurs, and creatives with reliable, inspiring, and Wi-Fi-ready workspaces.

With the city’s growing number of freelancers and remote professionals, the demand for functional and comfortable work environments continues to rise. To meet this need, the City Tourism Office conducted evaluations based on ICTC guidelines and an internal checklist that draws from Department of Tourism standards. Establishments were assessed for Wi-Fi speed, ambiance, and overall suitability as co-working environments.
